The Seeritsä room for two is one of Lenna’s favorites because of its burgundy palette. This room is located on the second floor and its balcony has a magnificent north side view. The red shades of the room is inspired by twilight when time stands still. With its velvety and romantically dim colors, Seeritsä stops time in the most positive way. The marmorino clay covering the walls creates a particularly luxurious feeling. Throw yourself among the soft blankets and goose down pillows and feel like a true royal.
A bit of history behind the name of the room:
Today, Seeritsä “nulk” or “corner” is entirely on the Russian side. The villages are located on both sides of the Riga-Pskov stone road, which has been an important trade route for nearly 1,000 years. The name comes from the time when it was covered with cobblestone paving, the construction was finished in 1865. There are many small picturesque lakes here. In the village of Radaja there are also 2 Seto museums. Before the corona epidemic in 2020, the biggest and most important holiday of the Petseri monastery was held in the courtyard of the Seto farm museum in that village on May Day evening. It used to be a big party and festival uniting the Setos from the Estonian and Russian sides, the “Setomaa Perride Kokkotulýk”. Currently, due to the Russian war against Ukraine, it is almost impossible to get a visa to visit the Russian side of Setomaa, even if the graves of relatives are on the other side of the border.
