Luhama is a a double standard room on the second floor. It’s lovely grey tone is inspired by the Seto silver jewellery. The balcony opens with a view of the majestic large silver firs on the north side, which complement the room’s clay colors even more. Seto jewellery has been worn for centuries for protective magic. We hope our silver-glowing room will give you peace of mind and offer a perfect rest.
A bit of history behind the name of the room:
Luhamaa “nulk” or “corner” can be reached only through a brief detour through the Old Võrumaa. After the administrative reform in 2018, Setomaa is jokingly called the “Seto gut” because of its shape. It is defined by the borders of historic Setomaa from the First Republic. The Church of the Holy Spirit is located in Luhamaa, its most important holiday being Midsummer. Luhamaa also has a different weather pattern compared to rest of Setomaa. Haanja upland reaches here and the highest mountain, Maaniidu (225,4 m) is also located in the area. This means more perception, more snow and longer winters. The difference in climate can also be felt on top of the hills and in low valleys.
